Hawaii ‘Safe Travels’ program concludes March 25th
Hawaii Travel Restrictions will end for domestic travelers
According to Hawaii Governor David Ige, the State of Hawaii will drop the current ‘Safe Travels’ program for domestic travelers at midnight on March 25, 2022. The indoor mask mandate will end the following day. Under the new guidelines, the first-day travelers could visit the state without Safe Travels restrictions will be March 26th beginning at 12:01 am HST. That now means beginning March 26,2022, domestic travelers to Hawaii will no longer need to wear face masks indoors, fill out online forms via Safe Travels, no longer have to worry about QR codes, no longer have to provide proof of vaccination, and ultimately, there won’t be any additional requirements or restrictions to fly to Hawaii on a domestic flight.

Market Update March 2022
The U.S. real estate market remains hot ahead of the spring selling season, with existing home sales up 6.7% according to the National Association of REALTORS®.
Experts attribute the growth in sales to an uptick in mortgage interest rates, as buyers rushed to lock down their home purchases before rates move higher.
Mortgage rates have increased almost a full percentage point since December, with the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage briefly exceeding 4% in February, the
highest level since May 2019.
Maui Pending Sales decreased 27.0% for Single Family homes and 31.0% for Condominiums. Inventory decreased 25.6% for Single Family homes and 71.3% for Condominiums. Median Sales Price increased 18.3 % to $1,058,500 for Single Family homes and 31.2 percent to $730,500 for Condominium. Inventory was down 17% from a year ago and equivalent to 1.6 months supply.

Report From Realtor.com the Best Time to List a Home in 2022.
- Homes typically sold for prices that were 1.4% higher than the average week, meaning the national median listing price could be as much as $5,000 higher than average based on the prices seen this year.
- In 2021, this same week saw a 20.9% uptick in the number of views each listing got, compared to the average week throughout the year.
- Historically, homes listed during that week have sold 13.2% faster than average.
Additionally, under the backdrop of 2021’s national shortage of homes for sale, there were far fewer people who had homes listed during the comparable week last year. Consequently, homes put on the market at that time were far less likely to experience a price reduction.
